HISTORY: (to us) This street used to be an apple orchard.

HISTORY: This town used to be called “the sleigh-maker town.”

HISTORY:

HISTORY: Itself, itself.

HISTORY: This is a ghost town.

Our street used to be an apple orchard.

Mr. Louis called; he wants you to come over. All the kids are going over.

I don’t know why—he just wants all the kids
to go over.

He’s an old man.

Addie and Jaco will be there.

Yes, they will. Go on, right now. You’ll see. Michael too, and Matt. I think Rebecca is at soccer practice. Go on. Go. Get out that door. Right now. (Singing.) No, I mean it. Go. Sam, Claire. Everyone.

I’m sure he called them too. I talked to Susan; everyone’s going.

Our street used to be an apple orchard.

Yeah, it was quick. I don’t know, I’m going back outside now. I just came—

I don’t know; he just showed us how to cut a pineapple.

No, in the kitchen.

I don’t know why. Everyone was there – all the kids. He just showed us the right way to cut a pineapple. You know, it’s Mr. Louis. He had his uniform on.

No, just a regular pineapple. He got it at Stop n Shop, but he said he used to eat them in Puerto Rico.

Yeah, he gave us some. He gave us cheese too. Those little wheels. It was good.

No, she was in her room.

I know. I know – you always tell me that!

I’m supposed to take his trash tomorrow.
