a glass vase spilling sunlight

her trail up the hill leaking pail

no wind

the boy learns

to whistle

the wind jiggles the pipes siesta

-

after the tree

the boys' pockets

full of plums

market day

the squeal of a cart

and a hee-haw

*

summer memories

the smell of lavender

lingers in her pouch

a wisp of wish dandelion fluff

-

family reunion

a mingling of shoes

at the front door

spring rain

empty boots

lay on the grass

-

slipping off

the mountain

veil of clouds

rain last night

in the wheelbarrow

the morning sun
