Painting

My pen and mind
meet in my canvas
to take a cerebral ride
to connect with the sun, moon and stars to
bring them on to the canvas

My canvas is the
garden where violin
thoughts
and mindful artistry
bloom a bouquet of words
words convey my tears, smile and
story words become the rollercoaster in
which I joyously take my ride

When I paint the
poem through my mind’s eye
my canvas becomes the journal
where pen replaces the brush and
words replaces the images

As I dip my mind in paint and write
a colourful and creative muse
visits my canvas to illuminate
it like a starry starry night

for each starry starry night I
give away a piece of myself for
every word that I write

Poetry is imaginary painting
and painting is visual poetry
For every
poem that I’m
painting I
become a
artist
in love with writing

My Journey

I see life as a journey.
A journey where I sit inside a train called life.
As I grow old, the train passes by a lot of
stations. I stop by a few stations
but I make sure I get back into the train
called life to continue my journey.

As the train moves, I get to see a lot of
scenery called life experiences through
my window. Few sceneries are beautiful,
few not so beautiful, few worth
remembering, few worth forgetting.

I keep the imprint of the good scenery
in mind, throwing away the ugly ones
out of the window.

But I ensure that I sit inside the train
called life and continue my journey.
At times the train slows down,
picks up pace, passes through a

dark tunnel, but I still sit inside the train
hoping that there is light at the
end of the tunnel.

As I travel in the train called life, I get to
meet a lot of people called passengers,
few get down in different stations
whereas a few travel along with me
and the journey continues.

Those fellow passengers who travel with me
till my destination, turn from passengers
to friends and then to family, for
we are friends and family not just
by chance but also by our choice.

From childhood to middle age to growing
older I prefer to sit inside the train,
travelling and enjoying my journey called life.
This is my life, my journey and
I enjoy my ride.

VIbgyor

We are a pair of siblings named
violet, indigo, blue green, yellow,
orange, red
born and raised in crayon family

We are instrumental in
conveying human emotions that
flow across
the seven seas and oceans

We are the
orchestra in the
symphony of
painters and artists

We make sunny morning’s vibrant
noon, silver moon green forest,
brown trees blue sky, dark grey
clouds,
sparkle and glow in the canvas

We capture and covey
the beauty around the world the
darkness of sorrow
the rainbow of joy the pain
and pleasure dancing,
Shining and merging as
colours in the
canvas

We are the shutter
in the painter’s camera through us all
the warmth of the artist’s heart
is captured and conveyed in a
piece of art
