Melanie Faith

Melanie Faith holds an MFA in poetry from Queens University of Charlotte, NC. She has been a small town journalist, an ESL classroom teacher for international students, and (currently) a literature and writing tutor at a college prep high school, an online creative writing instructor, and a freelance editor.

In 2011, her writing and photography were published in several venues, including Tapestry (Delta State U., Spring issue), Front Range Review (U. of Montana, Spring), Foliate Oak (May), Referential Magazine (June and July), Epiphany Magazine (October), Up The Staircase (Fall issue), and Ray's Road Review (Dec., Winter 2012 issue). Her work was a semi-finalist for the 2011 James Applewhite Poetry Prize, and she had an essay about editing poetry published in the Jan./Feb. 2011 issue of Writers' Journal. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her work won the 2009 Anne E. Sucher Poetry Prize for the Iguana Review. Her poetry is forthcoming in Mason's Road
