Heather Sullivan is the founder of Praying Mantis Press, a nonprofit for the promotion of original poetry. She has served as an Assistant Creative Director of the RI Writers’ Circle. Sullivan holds an M.A. in English and is an award-winning, published author. She has written for the Block Island Poetry Project, The Providence Journal, She Shines Magazine, and Newport Roundtable's Walls and Bridges Anthology. Her work, Compassion, has aired on RI NPR’s This I Believe series.
