The Origami Poems Project

E-mail Print
Welcome to the Origami Poems Project!   Free Poetry is our mantra. Free the poets to share their poetry!

The original poems you'll read are arranged on a single piece of paper to be folded, origami style, into a palm-size microbook.  These books are yours for the printing, folding, reading, and sharing...  Recycle to a friend!

With over eighty poets, we spread the collections primarily throughout Rhode Island.  We made our public debut on Poets.org in their "Poem in a Pocket" feature.  Since then we've made friends at bookstores, libraries, coffee shops, art centers, and through the internet!

We have been called an idea with legs by the Providence Journal. We hope to travel far with them.
Poets who've joined this project are listed below in order of their debut; Pick a Poet lists alphabetically by first names.
Linda Kayra Hull Lawrence J. Krips Scot Siegel Kik Skakel Williams
Helen M. D'Ordine  David P. Miller Melanie Faith Sheila Parenteau
Alexander Raeburn

Many display sites are listed here and Origami Display Locations lists alphabetically. Maintained by volunteers, the sites are 'funded' by the generosity of friends and strangers - why not you?
