Amanda Surkont began her writing career at the age of 11. Her first book of poetry, Pondicherry Square, is a memoir of sorts that captures the voices and nuances of a small community of real people who have passed through Amanda’s life growing up in Bridgton, Maine. Her work has appeared in Nedge Magazine, Impulse, Art Life, Potpourri, Wolf Moon Press, and Puckerbrush Review and other journals. Living in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont along the shores of the Connecticut River, Amanda is passionate about literacy. When she is not writing she is actively promoting literacy among underserved rural communities.
Pondicherry Square was released by Little Pear Press.
